-
Choose a sturdy pot with drainage holes, just slightly wider than the bulb. Plant in well-drained potting mix, with one-third to one-half of the bulb above the soil.
Keep the base of the pot warm, about 60 to 75°F, to encourage sprouting. Use a bright, warm spot with indirect light.
Water lightly at first, then keep the soil moist but never soggy once growth appears.
Feed with a balanced liquid fertilizer every 2 to 4 weeks while it’s growing.
Tall stalks may need a stake. Turn the pot every few days so they grow straight.
After blooming, cut off the flowers but keep the leaves. With a cool, dark rest of 8 to 12 weeks, it can bloom again next year.
