This winter has been really hard for me. I didn't realize home much my happiness has become dependent on the amount of time I spend outside in the sun. Since December I've been dreaming of my spring garden, tweaking my landscape plan, ordering seeds, and adjusting plant placement.

Today marked a very exciting day- I sowed my first seeds. In two weeks my chive and scallion seeds will have germinated (if all goes well). I’ve been using a new tool along side my usual Illustrator landscape drawings I’ve been using The Old Farmer’s Almanac’s Garden Planner. It’s a great tool that helps with plant spacing and provides times for sowing of each plant according to your first frost date. Each email I receive from the Garden Planner feels like a count down to more time spent outside and ultimate my sanity.
